Subjects & Methods: The present study was a randomized trial on 75 patients with type II diabetes mellitus (30 patients in cinnamon group and 45 patients in control group), in Karaj-Iran during 2010 to 2012. The two groups were given 90 days cinnamon and placebo capsules (starch) (500 mg, twice a day after breakfast and lunch). Vein blood samples were taken at the beginning and end of study to measure fasting blood glucose (FBG), two-hour blood glucose (BS2hpp), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), insulin serum, Triglyceride, total Cholesterol and its contents. Using HOMA Score, insulin resistance was also measured. The Chi square test, t-test, ANOVA and SPSS software were used to analyze   the data. Results: At the end of intervention, a significant reduction was seen in BMI in the cinnamon group compared to placebo (p=0.01).While there wasn’t a significant difference in other variables. Also, in patients receiving cinnamon, the mean of FBG, BS2hpp, HbA1c, serum insulin, HOMA score and BMI was significantly more different than before the intervention (pConclusion: Although it did not appear that oral supplementation of cinnamon, alone reduced the glucose and lipid blood parameters in type II diabetic patients, nevertheless, its supplementation in order to adjust the weight of diabetic patients with conventional therapy is recommended.}, keywords = {Cinnamon,Diabetes Mellitus,Blood glucose,lipoprotein}, title_fa = {اثر دارچین در کنترل قند و چربی خون در بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع دو: یک مطالعه کارآزمایی بالینی دو سو کور}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: این مطالعه  با هدف بررسی تاثیر مکمل خوراکی دارچین بر شاخص های کنترل قند و چربی خون در بیماران دیابتی نوع دو انجام گردید. روش کار: این کارآزمایی بالینی بر 75 بیمار دیابت نوع دو (30 نفر دریافت کننده دارچین و 45 نفر دریافت کننده دارونما) در شهر کرج در سال های 1389-1391انجام شد. دو گروه، نود روز کپسول‏های خوراکی حاوی دارچین یا دارونما (نشاسته)  (500 میلی گرم، دوبار در روز بعد از صبحانه و ناهار) را مصرف نمودند. نمونه خون وریدی جهت اندازه گیری قند خون ناشتا، قند خون دو ساعته(BS2hpp)، هموگلوبین گلیکوزیله (HbA1c)، انسولین سرم، تری گلیسیرید، کلسترول تام و اجزای آن در آغاز و پایان مطالعه گرفته شد. مقاومت انسولینی نیز با استفاده از اسکور HOMA محاسبه گردید. آزمون های کای اسکور، تی، آنوا و نرم افزاز SPSS جهت تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها استفاده شد. نتایج: در انتهای مداخله کاهش معنی داری در شاخص توده بدنی در گروه دریافت کننده دارچین نسبت به گروه دارونما دیده شد (01/0p=) اما این تفاوت در سایر متغیرهای مورد بررسی معنی دار نبود. هم چنین در بیماران دریافت کننده دارچین میانگینFBG،BS2hpp،HbA1c، انسولین سرم، اسکور HOMA و شاخص توده بدنی اختلاف معنی داری نسبت به  قبل از مداخله داشت (05/0p< برای تمامی موارد) نتیجه گیری: اگرچه به نظر نمی‏رسد که مصرف مکمل خوراکی دارچین به تنهایی سبب کاهش در شاخص‏های کنترل قند و چربی خون در بیماران دیابتی نوع دو شود، معهذا استفاده از آن در جهت تنظیم وزن بیماران مبتلا در کنار درمان‏های متداول توصیه می‏شود.}, keywords_fa = {دارچین,دیابت قندی,گلوکز خون,لیپوپروتئین}, url = {https://mjms.mums.ac.ir/article_3008.html}, eprint = {https://mjms.mums.ac.ir/article_3008_557b09eb0bfcbb8ea50eba9e517e01af.pdf} }
