Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus is the main cause of kidney failure. Identification of factors associated with kidney failure can help in fast diagnosis and on time prevention of this problem. The present study aims to compare the degree of blood hs-CRP, C Cystatin, and Ferritin in type II diabetic patients based on urine albumin level.
Method: in this descriptive-analytic study which was a cross-sectional research, 90 patients including 30 people with normal urine albumin level, 30 subjects suffering micro-albuminuria, and 30 cases suffering macro-albuminuria were chosen from diabetic patients who had referred to diabetes clinic of Valiasr hospital affiliated to Birjand University of Medical Sciences. Sampling was done randomly and all participants had inclusion criterion. Tests of blood hs-CRP, C Cystatin, Ferritin, and serum glycosylated hemoglobin were performed for all participants. Data were analyzed using SPSS16 statistical software and statistical tests of one-way variance analysis, Tukey range follow up, Kreskas-Wallis, Mann Whitney U and multivariate regression analysis at significant level of p≤0005.
Results: Results showed that the average level of Ferritin was significantly higher in patients of macro-albuminuria compared to patients with normal urine albumin level and average level of Cystatin was significantly higher in patients of the group with normal urine albumin compared to the two other groups (P<0.05). But hs-CRP levels in patients with urine albumin levels were not significantly different. Average level of glycosylated hemoglobin was significantly higher in patients with macro-albuminuria compared to patients with normal urine albumin and micro-albuminuria.The results showed that Cystatin alone can explain about 7% of diabetic nephropathy.
Conclusion: Measurement of serum level of C Cystatin can be used in diagnosis of initial stages of diabetic nephropathy in patients with type II diabetes.

Introduction: Regular consumption of green tea may influence energy metabolism, body weight and body fat content. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks aerobic training and moderate and high doses ofgreen tea consumption on body composition and lipid profile in overweight and obese women.
Materials & Methods: A total of 36 overweight and obese women selected and randomly divided into three groups, aerobic training with moderate doses of green tea (500 mg), aerobic training with high doses of green tea (750 mg), and placebo (starch). Both training groups performed aerobic training (3 sessions per week, each session 45 minutes) and consumed green tea for eight weeks. Placebo groups had no training during this period. Blood sample were taken in the fast state. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and LSD post-hoc tests (α≤0.05).
Results: Overall eight weeks aerobic training combined with moderate and high doses of green tea supplementation significantly decreased weight, BMI, body fat percent age and increased VO2max, however, there were no significant differences between the two groups in these variables. Also, there were no significant differences in WHR, LDL-C, HDL-C, Tchol and TG, between the three groups.
Conclusion: Overweight and obese women probably could modify body composition via aerobic training in combination with green tea supplementation. Also, it was suggested to use high doses of green tea with aerobic training on relation to lipid profile.

Introduction: Cardiovascular complications are the most common Cause of death in ESRD patients. Hypertension is one of the traditional risk factors of CVD. The Aim of this study was to investigate the association between Concentration of Na dialysate and blood pressure in chronic hemodialysis patients.
Material & Methods: This cross sectional study was performed on 266 adult patients undergoing of hemodialysis at least for 3 months. Pre HD systolic BP and post HD systolic BP during 4 weeks were measured in relation to Na dialysate concentration. The other main factors affecting the post-dialysis blood pressure, such as Body Mass Index (BMI), pump speed, dialysis solution temperature, duration of dialysis and intradialysis weight gain (IDWG) were considered. Mean of ΔSBP (post HD sys BP - pre HD sys BP) in each patient in 12 sessions of HD was measured and statistically analyzed in relation to dialysate Na with SPSS 21. Backward multivariable linear regression analysis and Pearson correlation coefficients were used to evaluate the correlation between sodium gradient and ΔSBP.
Results: Systolic blood pressure was significantly changed before and after dialysis in relation to dialysate Na (p <0.001). The analysis was stepwise multivariable linear regression. Those variables with significant values, such as dialysate Na concentration and blood flow rate (pump speed) remained in final step. The person’s correlations between ΔSBP with dialysate sodium and blood flow rate (pump speed) were statistically significant (p<0.01).
Conclusion: We Found that changes in systolic blood pressure before and after dialysis significantly associated with dialysate sodium concentration

Introduction: Nowadays Acinetobacterbaumannii strains resistant to multi-drugs (MDR) are as one of the most problematic opportunistic pathogens, especially in the intensive care unit (ICU) in the world. This study aimed to characterize the antibiotic susceptibility pattern of Acinetobacter baumanii isolated from patients in intensive care unit (ICU) of Motahari hospital, Gonbad, Golestan.
Material and method: The clinical samples isolated from hospitalized patients in ICU sent to the laboratory for detecting Acinetobacterbaumannii by biochemical tests and confirmed by PCR and antibiotic susceptibility test performed and then the obtained data were analyzed by SPSS software and chi-square test.
Results: According to the antibiotic susceptibility testing, from 50 Acinetobacterbaumannii isolates of ICU, 64%, 24% and 12% of isolates were MDR, Non MDR and XDR respectively. The highest rate of antibiotic resistance was to Ceftriaxone, Ticarcilline and Erythromycin, also the minimum resistance was to Minocycline.
Conclusion: Due to the fact that the rate of MDR was high in this study, the antibiotic susceptibility test is necessary before prescribing antibiotics and the correct use of antibiotics should be considered. Since it was found in our study that all strains insensitive to Imipenem were susceptible to Tobramycin and Minocycline, for treatment of infections caused by strains which are resistant to Imipenem, the combination of other antibiotics such as Tobramycin can be used.
