Comparing the effectiveness of psychodrama based on cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy on emotional alexithymia, cognitive emotional regulation in students with emotional trauma syndrome

Abstract
This study was conducted to compare the effectiveness of psychodrama based on cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy on emotional alexithymia and cognitive emotional regulation in students with emotional trauma syndrome. The present study was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design and a two-month follow-up with a control group, and is classified as an applied research in terms of its nature. The statistical population of the study included all students who were studying in Najafabad city in the academic year 1401-1402. In this study, 45 students were selected as the sample group using the convenience sampling method, in such a way that the subjects entered the study after completing the screening questionnaire for emotional trauma syndrome and obtaining the required score. Then, the subjects were randomly assigned to two experimental groups of 15 people (psychodrama therapy group based on cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy group) and a control group of 15 people. Next, all subjects participated in the pre-test, then the experimental groups each participated in an 8-session 90-minute intervention, but the control group did not receive therapy, and the groups participated in the post-test again. The research tools included the Toronto Emotional Aphasia Scale (1994), the Garnevsky et al. Cognitive Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (2001), and the Ross Love Trauma Scale (1999). The obtained data were analyzed using the multivariate covariance statistical test.
