Introduction and purpose: Many people with chronic diseases, including diabetes, suffer from varying degrees of impairment in their daily activities. During this process, they suffer from mood and psychological disorders. According to this the present study was conducted to investigate the efficacy of unified trans-diagnostic treatment on the emotional exhaustion and psychologial well - being of the patients with type-2 diabetes.
Methodology: The current study was a semi-experimental application with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group and a two-month follow-up period. The statistical population included the patients with type-2 diabetes in summer of 2025 in the Isfahan city. 32 patients with type-2 diabetes were selected through purposive sampling method and randomly accommodated into experimental and control groups. The patients in the experimental group received the unified trans-diagnostic treatment during ten weeks in ten 90-minute sessions. Emotional Exhaustion Questionnaire (EEQ) Psychologial Well - Being Questionnaire (PWBQ) were used in the present study. The data were analyzed through mixed ANOVA and Bonferroni post hoc test via SPSS23 software.
Finding: The results showed that unified trans-diagnostic treatment has significant effect on the emotional exhaustion (F=49.61; Eta=0.62; P<0.0001) and psychologial well - being (F=37.38; Eta=0.55; P<0.0001) of the patients with type-2 diabetes.
Conclusion: According to the findings of present study it can be concluded that unified trans-diagnostic treatment can be used as an efficient treatment to decrease emotional exhaustion and improve psychologial well - being in the patients with type-2 diabetes through applying techniques such as knowing emotions, cognitive reevaluation training, identifying emotion avoidance models and investigating behaviors coming from emotion.
