The effectiveness of cognitive analytic psychotherapy in reducing the psychological symptoms of people with borderline personality disorder

Abstract
Introduction: Borderline personality disorder is a mental disorder that affects a person's ability to regulate their emotions. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of cognitive-analytic psychotherapy in reducing the psychological symptoms of people with borderline personality disorder.
Methods: The research method was semi-experimental in the form of pre-test-post-test with a control group. The statistical sample of the research is 45 people who were chosen non-randomly and voluntarily. The scores of BPI and STB borderline personality symptoms for people who underwent cognitive analytic therapy were reported as 0.007 and 0.039 using Duncan's test and analysis of covariance.
Results: The results showed that there is a significant difference between the mean scores of borderline personality symptoms of people who underwent cognitive analytical therapy (P≥0.05).
Conclusion: The results of this study can open the way for counselors and therapists to This method can be used as an effective intervention to improve the borderline personality symptoms of people.
