Effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on Quality of Life and Hours of Internet Use in High School Boys

Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment based treatment on quality of life and hours of internet use in high school students with internet addiction in Ahvaz.
Methods: The research method was pre-test, post-test with control group. The sample consisted of 30 students (15 experimental group, 15 control group) from high school students with internet addiction who were selected by multistage cluster sampling and the research tools consisted of Quality of Life Questionnaire (Kidney Screening Questionnaire). 1) and the Internet Hours Questionnaire responded. Analysis of covariance (Mankova) was used for data analysis. Results: The results of the data analysis showed that acceptance and commitment therapy increased the quality of life (P <0.001, F = 82.45) and decreased hours of Internet use (P <0.001, F = 43.115). High school students in the experimental group were compared with the control group.
Results: The results of the data analysis showed that acceptance and commitment therapy increased the quality of life (P Conclusion: It can be concluded that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with Acceptance and Commitment Techniques are effective in enhancing the quality of life and decreasing the hours of internet use in high school students with internet addiction.
