A Comparative Study on the Effectiveness of "Schema Therapy" and "Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy" on increasing general health of mothers of the witted male students in Tehran

Abstract

Introduction: This study was aimed at Comparative Study of the Effectiveness of Schema Therapy Education and cognitive behavioral therapy on increasing public health of mothers of gifted boy students in the first high school.
Methods: This study was experimental with pre-test and post-test design. Done with, Two "Schema Therapy" experimental groups and "Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Group", with a control group. The members of each group formed 15 mothers of gifted boy student’s First high school, in Tehran city in the academic year (2018-2019), who were randomly assigned. The instruments were standard questionnaires; General Health (GHQ).
Results: The Findings showed that there is a significant difference between the effectiveness of two educational methods based on cognitive behavioral therapy and schema therapy on general health components.
Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that the use of Schema Therapy educational sessions for mothers with intelligent children can be effective in increasing their general health.
