The Study of the role of incompatible schemas, personality traits in predicting student communication model with mediating perfectionism

Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of maladaptive schemas, personality traits in predicting the communication model of Ferdowsi University students in Mashhad through mediation of perfectionism.
Methods: The research method was descriptive correlational which the data were collected in the field. According to the research community, which included 15,000 students, the sampling was determined using the available method, with the Cochran formula and Morgan table 375, and all participants completed questionnaires in this study.
Results: Findings show that maladaptive schemas have a significant relationship with the student's communication model and with perfectionism. In addition, personality traits are related to student communication model and perfectionism. In addition, perfectionism mediates between maladaptive schemas and personality traits with the student's communication model. In the other words, maladaptive schemas and personality traits can predict the communication model of students through the mediation of perfectionism (p <0.01).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that psychological components such as maladaptive schemas and personality traits and perfectionism are effective in predicting student communication model. Therefore, improving the communication model can be improved the child's basic environment and appropriate education.
