The effect of personality traits and self-actualization on subjective well-being in employees

Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of personality traits and self-actualization on subjective well-being.
Methods: This is a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population of this study consisted of all the employees of Ajab Shir Jihad Agriculture Organization in 1398. 250 employees of Ajab Shir Jihad Agriculture Organization were selected by random sampling. To collect data, Soleimani et al questionnaire, Reif & Keyes mental well-being questionnaire and personality traits questionnaire were used. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data.
Results: The regression coefficient of the relationship between personality traits and oral well-being was 0.67 and the regression coefficient of the relationship between self-actualization and subjective well-being was 0.73. The t-values for the relationship between personality traits and self-actualization with subjective well-being were 4.38 and 4.59, respectively.
Conclusion: Personality and self-actualization traits have an effect on subjective well-being; therefore, it is suggested to consider the components of personality and self-actualization to improve mental well-being.
