The effectiveness of group-based solution-oriented approach training on marital burnout

Abstract

Introduction: A review of researches shows that marital heartbreak is one of the marital issues that has become common among couples due to marital conflicts. This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of solution-oriented approach training in a group manner on marital burnout.
Method: The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. 30 employees were selected from the statistical population of male employees of the National Oil Products Distribution Company of Ahvaz city by simple random sampling method. The tool used in this research was the Marital Discomfort Questionnaire. Analysis of covariance method was used to analyze the research data.
Results: The results showed that training with a solution-oriented approach in a group manner caused a significant reduction in marital burnout and its dimensions, namely physical exhaustion, emotional exhaustion, and psychological exhaustion (p≤005).
Conclusion: In order to improve the marital dissatisfaction of male employees, it is suggested to use a solution-oriented approach in a group way.
