Abstract

Introduction and purpose: In today's world, critical thinking is an essential skill, and although the emphasis on this type of thinking is as old as the history of human knowledge, today attention to its importance has become more apparent. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of critical thinking training on emotional creativity and self-management of female students of the first secondary school.

Research method: The current quasi-experimental research with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group and a one-month follow-up was conducted in Sabzevar high schools. The statistical population was all the students of the first secondary school. The sample size of this research was 66 people, that is, 33 people were considered for each group. Emotional creativity and self-management questionnaires were used to collect information. Sampling was available by method. Data analysis was done with descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics using multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) and SPSS version 26 software.

Findings: The emotional creativity preparation component in the experimental group was significant in the post-test phase and the emotional creativity innovation component in the experimental group was significant in the follow-up phase. In this study, the M. Box statistic index was not significant for any of the components of emotional creativity and self-management.
