Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of corrective exercises based on NASM on the knee brace deformity of male elementary school students.
Methods: This research is semi-experimental and pre-test, post-test research design with control and experimental groups. The statistical population of the research was formed by all primary school students of Asaluye city in 1401. The sample size consisted of 30 elementary school boys with knee braces who were determined purposefully and based on the entry and exit criteria. The research tools included a bone caliper or Kuiper to measure the distance between the two condyles of the femur. The Kolmogorov Smirnov test was used to check the normality of the data distribution, and to compare the pre- and post-test averages of the experimental group and the control group, the analysis of covariance test was used; SPSS version 25 statistical software was also used for data analysis.
Results: The results showed that after controlling for the effect of the pre-test, the difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the two groups is significant for the knee deformity variable, and the mean scores of the experimental group in the knee deformity variable are also significantly lower than the control group (<0.001).
Conclusion: According to the results of the research, it can be said that eight weeks of corrective exercises based on NASM have an effect on the reduction of knee brace deformity in elementary school boys.
