Abstract
The aim of the present study was the effectiveness of the game therapy package based on communication skills on reducing internalized behavioral disorders in students with reading learning disabilities. Method: The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test, post-test and follow-up plan with the control group. The statistical population of male students with reading disabilities and behavioral disorders in the age group of 8 to 10 years in Shiraz city, who were selected by purposive sampling, with a sample size of 30 people. The game therapy package based on communication skills was implemented for the experimental group during 15 sessions. The tool for collecting information was the questionnaire of child behavior problems by Achenbach (1991). Game therapy package training based on communication skills had a significant and lasting effect on improving internalized behavioral problems. Game therapy package training based on communication skills had a significant and lasting effect on reducing isolation, physical complaints, anxiety/depression, social problems, and thinking problems. The game therapy package based on communication skills has the ability to reduce behavioral problems and can be used by other psychologists.
