The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of quality of life therapy and counseling package based on parent-adolescent relationship on the social adjustment of adolescents. The research method was quasi-experimental with pretest, posttest, control group and two-month follow-up period design. The statistical population of the study included adolescents in Isfahan in the academic year 2020-2021 who are studying in the second year of high school. 53 adolescent were selected through Cluster random sampling and randomly accommodated into experimental and control groups (18 adolescent in the first experimental group, 18 adolescent in the second experimental group and 17 adolescent in the control group). Mothers of adolescents present in experimental groups received quality of life therapeutic interventions and counseling package based on parent-adolescent relationship separately. Pre-test was performed before the intervention and post-test was performed after the intervention. Two months later, the follow-up phase was carried out. The applied questionnaire in this study included California Individual-Social Adjustment Questionnaire. The data from the study were analyzed through mixed ANOVA and Bonferroni post hoc test via SPSS23 software. The results showed that quality of life therapy and counseling packages based on parent-adolescent relationship have a significant effect on the social adjustment of adolescents. Also, the results of the follow-up test showed that there was a significant difference between the effectiveness of these two interventions and that the counseling package based on parent-adolescent relationship had a greater impact on the social adjustment of adolescents than the quality of life therapy.
