Abstract

The growing number of divorces has turned it into an important social problem, and this has attracted the attention of many researchers to investigate the causes and consequences of the increase in divorce and the need to adapt to the conditions after it. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived burdensomeness and neutral sense of belonging in relation to self-injurious behavior with the mediation of emotional safety in divorced women. The current research is descriptive and correlational in terms of applied purpose and in terms of data collection method. The statistical population includes all divorced women of Tehran who live in Tehran in 1402. The sample of this research includes 200 women. In this research, a questionnaire was used to collect data. The results of the research at the 95% confidence level show that: the value of the relationship between the structure of burden perception and self-injurious behavior is 0.51; The correlation value of neutral sense of belonging structure with self-injurious behavior is 0.47; The value of the relationship between the structure of burden perception and emotional safety is 0.67; The value of the relationship between neutral sense of belonging and emotional safety is 0.39; The value of the relationship between the construct of emotional safety and self-injurious behavior is 0.45. Also, the mediating role of emotional safety in divorced women is confirmed in relation to perception of burden and sense of neutral belonging in relation to self-injurious behavior.
