Adult cystic Intrapulmonary Teratoma

Abstract

 

Introduction
Intrapulmonary teratoma is a very rare disease. Intra – thoracic teratoma almost always occur in the mediastinum. Clinical manifestations of intrapulmonary teratoma are non- specific. We reported a 16 year old boy who has vague right hemi-thorax pain with no constitutional symptoms. On physical examination, breath- sounds in middle–zone of right lung were diminished, and there was not another abnormal findings. Routine Laboratory tests were normal.
 
Conclusion
Chest radiography and lung CT scan showed round mass lesion in the right middle lobe. Thoracotomy was done. The pathologic diagnosis showed adult cystic intrapulmonary teratoma.
