Investigating the mediating role of job maturity in the relationship between psychological capital and employee job resilience

Abstract

Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of job maturity in the relationship between psychological capital and job resilience of employees.
Method: The present study was an applied research that used the correlational research method of structural equations as a research method. From the statistical population of administrative staff of small and medium private companies in Tehran, 6 people were randomly selected from each company. The sampling method in this study was cluster sampling. For data collection, Lutans Psychological Capital Questionnaire, Sapper Job Maturity Questionnaire and Liu Job Resilience Questionnaire were used. The collected data were analyzed using multiple regression method and structural equation model in Emus software version 22.
Results: The results of data analysis showed that the causal model based on the relationship between psychological capital and job resilience of employees fits with the mediating influence of job maturity. Psychological capital affects the job resilience of employees. Psychological capital affects the job maturity of employees. Job maturity affects the job resilience of employees. Job maturity has a mediating relationship between psychological capital and employee job resilience.
Conclusion: Job maturity has a mediating role in the relationship between psychological capital and job resilience of employees; It is suggested that the findings of this study be used to improve the job resilience of employees and their psychological capital according to their job maturity.
