Identifying the factors causing the phenomenon of addict organization in the University of Medical Sciences based on the data theory of the foundation (Case study: Fars University of Medical Sciences)

Abstract

Organizations as addicts are like addicts whose lives have become uncontrollable and chaotic and are powerless against addictive behavior and are increasingly involved in the addiction process. Therefore, the aim of the current research is to identify the factors that cause the phenomenon of the drug addiction organization in the University of Medical Sciences. The current research was carried out in the framework of qualitative approach and by applying foundation data theory. The statistical population includes experts in the field of managers of medical sciences universities in Fars province, 13 of them were selected through targeted sampling. In order to collect data, semi-structured interviews were used and simultaneous analysis of the interviews was done using three stages of open, central and selective coding. The results of the research included the identification of causal factors (12 components), background conditions (12 components), intervening conditions (12 components) and negative consequences (14 components). Awareness of the factors causing the phenomenon of the addicted organization can help the university in implementing policies and mechanisms to overcome the negative consequences of the addicted organization and increase the index of job security and employee productivity.
