Comparison of the effectiveness of treatment based on acceptance and commitment and monotheistic integration on anxiety, sexual satisfaction and depression in infertile women (Case study: Mashhad)

Abstract

Introduction: The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of treatment based on acceptance and commitment and monotheistic integration on anxiety, sexual satisfaction and depression in infertile women in Mashhad.
Methods: The research design is an experimental pre-test-post-test with follow-up stage. The statistical population of the study includes infertile women referring to medical centers in Mashhad. This study is performed in a control group and two experimental groups. The number of subjects is 45 and from each group, 15 infertility treatment centers were selected by random sampling and studied. The method of data collection is library and field. In the pre-test stage, the experimental and control groups answered each of the research questionnaires (depression, anxiety and sexual satisfaction) and their opinions were collected. Then, the experimental group completed the educational intervention based on acceptance and commitment therapy. Receive 8 90-minute sessions, while the control group does not receive this intervention during the research process. The content validity of the questionnaires was evaluated using the opinions of professors, experts and specialists and the reliability coefficient of the questionnaires was obtained using Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 78% and data analysis was performed using SPSS software.
Results:  The results showed that acceptance and commitment based therapy can reduce the level of anxiety and depression and increase sexual satisfaction in infertile women in Mashhad.
Conclusion: Also, integrated monotheistic treatment intervention is effective on anxiety, sexual satisfaction and depression in infertile women.
