Designing a counseling model for couples based on the concept of modesty in Islamic sources and the lived experiences of successful couples

Abstract
Halam is one of the sublime concepts found in Islamic sources, which implies a more comprehensive meaning of patience and tolerance, and includes meanings such as tolerance, peace and tranquility. Designing a model for counseling couples based on the constructive concepts of Halm and considering the daily and life experiences of successful couples in relation to this concept is the goal of this research. This model will be measured in the continuation of the research with its effectiveness on marital compatibility, which is one of the most important variables describing marital quality and the general state of the family. The study has two stages, the first stage is a qualitative study, during which the concept of modesty is extracted from Islamic sources as well as interviews with a sample of successful couples, and the counseling model is designed based on it. The second phase of the research is quantitative and the semi-experimental research method and the pre-test-post-test design with the control group will be used to measure the effectiveness of the model in promoting marital compatibility.
