Abstract

Introduction
This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of an electronic visual-motor training program on attention and response inhibition in children high-functioning autism spectrum disorder.
Methodology
This quasi-experimental research employed a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 30 children with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, who visited psychological and rehabilitation clinics in Tehran in 2024. Participants were selected via convenience sampling and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups and received the intervention. The tools used for data collection included the Go/No-Go and Stroop Color-Word tests. Data analysis was performed using repeated measures ANOVA.
Results
The results demonstrated that the electronic visual-motor training program significantly improved attention and reduced response inhibition in children high-functioning autism spectrum disorder (p ≤ 0.05).
Conclusion
This study indicates that an electronic visual-motor training program can serve as an effective intervention to enhance attention and diminish response inhibition difficulties in children high-functioning autism spectrum disorder.
