Qualitative study of adolescent sexual education and its underlying factors with emphasis on interpersonal relationships with parents (Case study: parents in Tehran)

Sex education in any society is one of the most important aspects of education that parents have an important role in educating their children. But in our society, for some reason, it has limitations. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to study the sexual education of adolescents with emphasis on their interpersonal relationships with parents in Tehran. The research method used was qualitative and the approach used was data-based theory, in the implementation of which the purposive sampling method was considered until the theoretical saturation was achieved. The important findings indicate that the effective factors in adolescent sexual education are parents 'involvement in religious teachings in the field of sexuality, soft, responsible and not firm communication in the family, parents' sensitivity to children's sexuality in the field of cognition and its consequences. From provocative sexual behavior in the public space of the family, the need for parents to master the communication skills of the new generation, empowering students in connection with the formation of a desirable sexual identity in schools. Finally, the central category of extraction in terms of the degree of abstraction, multilevel empowerment of socialization channels in the optimal training of sexual behaviors was identified.
