Social factors effective in reducing the return of drug addicts

Abstract

Addiction is a physical, mental and social disease, in the formation of which many pre-addiction contexts play an essential role.Therefore, the current research is conducted with the aim of social factors in reducing the return of drug addicts to drug use. This research was done by survey method.The data collection tool was a questionnaire.Face validity was used to check the validity of the questionnaire, and the reliability of the questionnaire was obtained using Cronbach's alpha coefficient for all variables above 0.70.The statistical population of the research includes young addicts aged 15 to 30 in Izeh city, whose number was 3200.The sample in this research includes 345 people who were selected by accessible sampling from clients in rehabilitation centers.The findings of the research showed that the independent variables of the person's level of religiosity, social support, social participation, social learning, the duration of drug use, and the type of drug used have a significant effect on the rate of relapse of drug addicts.
