The mediating role of Emotional Intelligence in the relationship of Sexual Variety Seeking & Sexual Satisfaction with Marital Satisfaction in Employees Women

Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between of sexual variety seeking & sexual satisfaction with marital satisfaction mediated by emotional intelligence. Method: The research method was conducted in terms of fundamental-applied purpose and in terms of descriptive correlation method by structural equation method. The population of this study includes all married women who work in Islamic Azad University of Khorasan Razavi in 2020. The sampling method at the university level was multi-stage and 250 married female employees were selected by purposive sampling method. Participants completed the Enrich Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire (1998), Aref Nazari Sexual Variety Seeking (2005), Larson et al.'s Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire (1998), and Bar-On (1980). Then the data were analyzed using SPSS-25 software and structural equation modeling in Lisrel-8.8 software. Results: The results showed that the model has a good fit. In another world, there is a direct and significant relationship between sexual variety seeking(0.21) & sexual satisfaction with marital satisfaction (0.56). On the other hand, sexual variety seeking and sexual satisfaction have an indirect and significant relationship with marital satisfaction through emotional intelligence (0.32). Conclusion: To conclude, it seems that underlying variables are related to marital satisfaction that these variables have both cognitive and behavioral aspects.
