چکیده [English]

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on depression and anxiety in women with breast cancer. The present study was quantitative in terms of practical purpose, quantitative in terms of data collection method and semi-experimental in terms of methodology and post-test pre-test design with control group. The statistical population of this study included all women with breast cancer. The client went to the medical centers of Tehran in the second half of 1398. In the cluster random sampling method, three areas were randomly selected from among the areas of Tehran, three from among the medical centers of these areas, and then 40 women were randomly selected from among women with breast cancer. It was randomly assigned to two experimental groups (20 subjects) and control subjects (20 subjects). The Beck Depression Inventory and Spielberg Anxiety Questionnaire were used to collect research data and the Multivariate Covariance Analysis Test (MANCOVA) was used to analyze the research data. Findings showed that the mean scores of the variables of anxiety and depression of the experimental group in the posttest were lower than the pretest. As a result, cognitive-behavioral therapy is significant for anxiety and depression in women with cancer.
