[English]

Introduction: In the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, the ground for the separation of obsessive-compulsive disorder from the category of anxiety disorders and the formation of a concept called obsessive spectrum was provided. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between obsessive-compulsive disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety and stress depression to evaluate this new diagnostic category.
Method: The present research design is descriptive-analytical. The statistical population of this study included 245 students of Tehran universities who were selected by convenience sampling and the research tools included questionnaires (OCI-R), (OCSD), (DASS). Data were analyzed using nonparametric Spearman correlation test.
Results: According to the findings of this study, there is a positive and significant relationship between the total score of obsessive-compulsive disorder and its subscales (p <0.001). Also, a significant positive correlation was found between the total score of obsessive-compulsive disorder and its subscales and obsessive-compulsive disorder disorders as well as with the variables of anxiety, depression and stress.
Conclusion: Obsessive-compulsive disorder, while related to peer disorders in the new diagnostic class of obsessive-compulsive disorder, in another dimension was closely related to emotional dimensions and variables such as anxiety symptoms, depression and stress.
