Background: Strengthening and improving the performance of archery athletes is one of the main goals of this sport. In this regard, all kinds of sports activities help to improve the performance of archers by strengthening different physical and mental aspects. Therefore, the aim of the current research was to compare the effect of a TRX training course and yoga versus traditional training on the performance of archers.
Materials and Methods: This study is a semi-experimental research with a pre-test-post-test design. In terms of the purpose of this research, it was applied research that was carried out in the field. The statistical population included all male archers in Tehran province between the ages of 20 and 40. To measure the level of performance of the athletes, the specialized method of archery shooting at a distance of 30 meters and with the same conditions was used. Non-parametric statistical tests were used to analyze the data.
Results: The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that all three types of traditional exercises, yoga and TRX can lead to a significant improvement in the performance of archers.
Conclusion: This suggests that to achieve the best results in archery, combining different exercises with more emphasis on TRX can be a more effective strategy.
