The present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of two methods of face-to-face and virtual resilience training on reducing anxiety and increasing the resilience of nurses working in the medical centers affiliated with Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences.
Methodology: This study was a quasi-experimental type with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population included nurses working in the medical centers affiliated with Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences in the years 2025-2026. Sixty individuals were selected through convenience sampling and then randomly assigned to three groups: face-to-face training, virtual training, and control. Data collection tools included the Beck Anxiety Inventory and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale. The training intervention was implemented over eight 90-minute sessions based on the cognitive-behavioral approach and positive psychology. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and ANCOVA (Analysis of Covariance) with control of pre-test scores in SPSS software version 26.
Results: The findings indicated that after controlling for pre-test scores, there was a significant difference between the three groups in terms of anxiety and resilience. Both face-to-face and virtual training methods led to a significant reduction in anxiety and an increase in nurses’ resilience; however, the degree of anxiety reduction and resilience increase was greater in the face-to-face training group than in the virtual training group. The control group showed no significant changes in the research variables.
Conclusion: Based on the research findings, resilience training can be used as an effective intervention for reducing anxiety and promoting resilience among nurses. Despite the effectiveness of both
