Introduction: The main aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between identity dimensions and subjective well-being with life satisfaction among second-year high school students in Khoy city.
Methods: The research method of the present study is correlational. The statistical population of the present study was 15422 male second-year high school students in Khoy city in the academic year 2023-2024, for which purpose 375 people were selected using the Morgan table and multi-stage cluster random sampling method. To collect information, the questionnaires of life satisfaction by Diner et al. (1985), the fourth edition of the identity dimensions by Chick, Smith, Traub (2002), and subjective well-being by Keyes and Magyarmo (2003) were used. The validity of the instruments was confirmed by experts in educational sciences and psychology. The reliability of the instruments was also reported to be satisfactory. The Pearson correlation test was used to analyze the data.
Results: The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between identity dimensions and subjective well-being with life satisfaction at the P<0.01 level.
Conclusion: Identity dimensions and subjective well-being were able to significantly and positively predict life satisfaction.
