[English]

Introduction: The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and acceptance and commitment-based therapy on perceived stress and depression in patients with irritable bowel syndrome.
Methods: The method of the present study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest, posttest design with a control group. The statistical population included 55 patients with irritable bowel syndrome who referred to Ayatollah Rouhani Hospital in Babol during the first 6 months of 1398. Using available sampling, 36 people were surveyed as a sample. Then, they were divided into three groups by random sampling method (the first experimental group, the second experimental group and also in a control group. Perceived stress and Beck depression questionnaires were used to collect data. Version 22 was evaluated using analysis of covariance (p <0.05).
Results: The results of analysis of covariance showed that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of perceived stress and the mean scores of depression in the three groups of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and acceptance, commitment and control therapy.
Discussion and Conclusion: That mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and acceptance and commitment-based therapy are effective on perceived stress and depression in patients with irritable bowel syndrome.
