The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on psychological well-being and emotion regulation in men with bulimia nervosa. The research method was semi-experimental. The statistical population in this study included all men with bulimia nervosa referred to the Iranian Turbo eating association who have been diagnosed with bulimia nervosa by a psychiatrist. The sample size was 15 for each sample group according to the test power (0.80), effect size (0.50) and confidence level (0.05). The experimental group was trained for 8 sessions per week for 1 session of 70 to 90 minutes. The research tool was Garnefski's Emotional Regulation Questionnaire and Reef Psychological Well-Being (2002). Data analysis was performed after examining statistical assumptions using multivariate covariance analysis using SPSS.22 software. The results of the analysis showed that acceptance and commitment intervention was effective on emotion regulation and psychological well-being (P<0.001). It can be concluded that acceptance and commitment therapy is effective on psychological well-being and emotion regulation in men with bulimia nervosa and this treatment can be used to improve psychological problems in patients with bulimia nervosa.
