Introduction: Private hospitals must maintain financial health to continue operating, using various indicators such as profitability, liquidity, and utilization. This study examines the factors influencing the financial health of private hospitals.
Methods: This applied and developmental research included private hospitals in Iran. Financial data from 2016 to 2021 were collected and analyzed using structural equation modeling and Smart-PLS software.
Results: Results showed that the number of patients and education level positively and significantly impact the financial health of hospitals, while economic factors, environmental factors, crises, and geographical features have negative impacts. Additionally, the correlation between geographical features and the number of patients is higher than other factors.
Conclusion: To improve the financial health of private hospitals, it is essential to increase the number of patients, improve education levels, manage economic and environmental conditions, manage crises, and choose appropriate geographical locations. These findings can guide hospital managers in making strategic decisions.
