Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of stress management and anger on quality of life, resilience and pain intensity of patients with migraines.
Methods: The method of this research was applied in terms of purpose and based on the nature and method of pre-test-post-test semi-experimental design with control group. The statistical population of this study was female patients with migraine in Hashtgerd city in 1996. The study sample consisted of 30 female patients with migraines who were randomly selected based on the criteria for entering the study and randomly assigned to two groups of 15 subjects. In this study, the experimental group received stress management training and anger management training package, and the control group did not receive any training. The data collection tools for this study were the Quality of Life Questionnaire (SF-36), the Connor and Davidson Resilience Rating Scale (2003), and the BPI Questionnaire (BPI).
Results: Stress and anger management training improves quality of life and resilience, as well as reduces the severity of pain in female patients with migraines.
Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended to include stress management and anger management training packages in the treatment programs of patients with migraines.
