The phenomenon of maturity in jurisprudence plays an important role, because it is the source of the beginning of religious duties and legal obligations. The issue of puberty is one of the controversial issues in jurisprudence. One of the most important stages of human natural development is puberty, with which God Almighty has assigned duties to human beings, and due to its importance, natural and religious signs for puberty have been expressed. Shiite and Sunni jurists have been studying this issue for many years and have come to the conclusion that the signs and symptoms of puberty are different in girls and boys. Of course, some of those symptoms are common between girls and boys, but menstruation and pregnancy are specific signs of puberty in girls. The age of puberty between girls and boys is a point of contention for jurists. The source of the differences between these sayings in different jurisprudential religions is the differences between the narrations and the texts that have reached us from the leaders of the religions. In this article, we will examine the jurisprudence and medicine of puberty.
